Etiquette for a One Night Stand

Although one night stands are casual sexual intercourses, they too have their own set of etiquettes which need to be followed. Sex during a one night stand is no different from having sex in a relationship. The only difference lies in the fact that you are perhaps far less aware of the kind of person your partner is. Etiquette for a one night stand would therefore include mannerisms which are essential for being intimate with a stranger.

Important Etiquettes for a One Night Stand

Remember, the foremost priority is to prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases and also an unwanted pregnancy. As a male, you should use condoms or other similar protective devices. If you are woman and your partner refuses to use protection, do not go ahead with the one night stand.

Once the protection issue has been sorted out, it’s time for the act itself. Since you do not know enough about each other, you would be expected to be much more sensitive during the course of the act. Do not try to thrust your preferences on your partner. For instance, you might enjoy kinky sex and unusual postures, but your partner might be the conventional type. The ideal etiquette for a one night stand would be to at least have an inkling of what things should be sex wise.

Remember, it is not obligatory for your partner to allow you to sleep over. He or she might or might not allow you. There is nothing rude about that. If he or she is ok, you might stay over. Or else, you should always leave on your own. Try to be receptive towards the subtle hints that your partner might throw and leave with grace.

Remember, trying to extract more than what’s actually there, is absolutely against the etiquette for a one night stand. A one night stand is nothing but an act of mutual pleasure. Do not try to drag it beyond. You could ask your partner for his or her contact details. But they have every right to refuse.

These are some of the basic etiquettes to be followed. Practically, it is about understanding the limitations of the act and respecting each other during the course of it.
